Waterproofing systems from Triflex are used to waterproof surfaces above occupied rooms or surfaces at high risk of cracking. Scaling concrete, structural cracks, damage from moisture penetration, and soiled, flaking paint: signs of wear like these devalue the property and relegate balconies to storage spaces.

Triflex specially developed the wear-resistant BTS-P system for balconies, walkways and roof terraces exposed to extreme mechanical point loads. Along with its system components Triflex ProTerra and Triflex ProFloor, the full-surface fleece-reinforced balcony and terrace waterproofing reliably protects the load-bearing elements reliably and for many years to come. Triflex BTS-P has a fast-curing polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) base and withstands high mechanical loads. Various surface finishes and colours are possible and convert a balcony into an extension of your living room. Various dressing options make for an effective non-slip finish with sure footing, and an easy-to-clean surface.

Applications: Waterproofing underneath other mineral coverings
Triflex BWS is the mechanically strong waterproofing system for underneath other loose and fixed coverings such as tiles or paving. Since the waterproofing system is permanently resistant to alkalis and hydrolysis, it is even possible to apply mineral-based coverings or tile adhesives on top of BWS. Triflex BWS is full-surface fleece-reinforced and absorbs structural movement without any problem. Because it is thin and has a low net weight, this liquid applied waterproofing product is effective for preservation of historical monuments.

Triflex BWS is a full-surface reinforced waterproofing system for balconies, based on fast-curing, elastic polymethyl methacrylate resin (PMMA). The waterproofing materials are liquid applied in situ, wet-in-wet.

Flooring systems for terraces and balconies by Triflex
Balconies, walkways and steps above unoccupied rooms generally have no protection from the elements. Triflex PMMA-based flooring systems offer protection against moisture penetration, scaling and rebar corrosion. The resins used in the specially developed self-levelling mortar are statically crack-bridging, fast-curing and allow for very short closure times of only a few hours. The material ensures that the balcony is extremely wear-resistant and withstands mechanical loads. Of course, you can also design your own colour scheme for Triflex flooring systems.

Applications: Coating balconies, terraces and walkways above unused spaces
Triflex offers the Triflex BFS system for flooring terraces and balconies that are subjected to high mechanical loads. The Triflex ProFloor wearing layer helps to maintain the building structure above unoccupied rooms on a lasting basis. The vapour-permeable flooring system can be applied to almost all substrates. Its low mass per unit area makes it suitable for balcony refurbishments – without adversely affecting stability. This saves time and the expense of removing existing coatings.

Applications: Outdoor stair coating
The Triflex TSS flooring system protects outdoor stairs. Stairs are very exposed to high mechanical loads. Scaling due to moisture damage occurs at the edges in particular. Triflex TSS is a thick-layer system made of PMMA resin, which acts like a shield against external attack. In addition, the self-levelling Triflex ProFloor levels out surfaces, providing a non-slip surface and sure footing.

Ancillary systems for balconies and terraces
These days, older buildings are considered as offering an enhanced quality of living. But not if balconies and terraces have deteriorated due to damp substrates, old, damaged coverings and a lack of thermal insulation. Triflex’s ancillary systems provide fast and uncomplicated solutions for terrace and balcony refurbishments: for instance, Triflex ProDrain® is simply applied to the damaged substrates and, in conjunction with the Triflex waterproofing systems for balconies and terraces, ensures long-lasting protection.

Applications: For damp substrates
The centrepiece of the Triflex ProDrain® ancillary system for balconies is a self-supporting decoupling sheet. It is the reliable, clean solution for soiled, cracked substrates which have been penetrated by moisture. Triflex ProDrain® ventilates the damp substrate, protecting the building structure. The system was specially developed for use on damp substrates. The advantages are plain to see: there is no need to completely remove the old covering, which makes this an economical and quick solution, as well as sparing the user a lot of dust and noise.
